subject: Proudly owning A Japanese Akita Dog because a Pet [print this page]

The Japanese Akita is Braveness well-built and energetic and is a brilliant hunter of wild creatures such since the pig and the dear and is among the most gorgeous breeds of Japanese dogs.

In the past the Akita was well-known to enthusiastically assault the black bears found Hokkaido Island. Regrettably the Akita was primarily used in dog fights across 3 nations in those feudal times, and the breed almost disappeared since dreadfully few dogs actually survived these horrid spectacles.

In the present day, dogfights are prohibited within Japan and the Akita is now considered as Japans national dog and is most often used as a law enforcement or guard dog. Even tho the Akita is a powerful with deep rooted hunting skills, it makes for a prized houshold pet that is equally caring and quiet.

The Akita is one of 3 spitz-type dog's native to Japan and at one occasion, just the Japanese upper classes were permitted to have the formidable hunter and the breeds have changed dreadfully little since the seventeenth century. The Akita is also a very athletic dog that requires a great deal of exercise if it is to be a content and healthy pet.

The Akita is about 70cm tall and weighs about 50kg when fully grown. It has a broad and heavy head forming a blunt triangle and has a small muzzle with a small black nose. The eyes are average sized with a triangular form and are usually dark chocolate in color and the ears of the Akita are also triangular and are awfully little pointing sharply upright. It has powerful hindquarters and forequarters and the legs are heavily boned with their elbows awfully close to their body.

The Akita is a verry out of the ordinary dog breed without a doubt, wether it be a guard dog or siumply a caring family dog the Akita is exclusive and would make a great pet if you have room for it to run freely.
