subject: Car Service Peterborough - A Quick Guide [print this page] Booking your car in for a service - whether you live in Peterborough, Penzance or Portsmouth - is an important part of being a responsible car owner, particularly if you want to keep yourself, your passengers and other road users safe at all times. Sometimes arranging and attending that car service may be quite difficult for women though. According to a survey on the RAC website in 2011 there seems to be a real divide in the sexes when it comes to booking a car service.
It appears that women drivers in Peterborough and other cities and towns around the UK may prefer to ask men to take their car in for a service, rather than carry out the task themselves.
Only 30 per cent of women who completed the Bosch Car Service survey said they take their own car for a service, in contrast to 70 per cent of men.
Although both men and women said they don't have a particular dread when it comes to a car service compared with other household chores, 35 per cent of women said they are not sure of getting a good experience from the task, compared with only 24 per cent of men.
So, does this apply to women in Peterborough who may not like taking in their car for a service and instead ask men to do it instead?
Bosch Car Service concept manager, Howard Price, urges car service professionals to do all they can to make women feel confident and comfortable when they take their car for a service.
Certainly more garages appear to have embraced the concept of making their premises more female friendly, with better equipped and more welcoming areas where customers can wait while their car service takes place.
"However, there are still discrepancies according to gender and age; car servicing professionals need to continue to do all they can to build the same levels of confidence among all customers, regardless of whether they are male or female, old or young," says Howard Price.
