subject: First Intel Inside Smartphone Lava Xolo X900 [print this page]

Intel had been one of the earliest players in the mobile chip sphere when their Xscale line of processors for PDAs had stepped in. The company had detached itself from mobile computing business after having sold the division to Marvell in 2006 until the launch of The Xolo X900. The cell phone is very much identical to the companys Form Factor reference design (FFRD).

Lava Xolo X900 is priced such that it majorly caters to the premium buyers. The cell phone combines together the making of an LG and an Apple.

What gives the cell phones the classic and an appealing look is its rubberized finish. The finish more often than not helps the cell phone users to ward off the sweat from their hands and provide a solid slippery free grip.

The cell phone has all the features what an essential Smartphone should have. The detail look of the cell phone along with the additional features list is discussed in this article.

The Look:

A detail body feature of the model is discussed below:

The Left & Right: The phone has a very thinly sized bezel on the right and the left side. Meanwhile, HDMI port exists on the left hand side of the phone.

The Top and the Front: The top of the phone encompasses a front facing camera and a silver coloured earpiece. Below, the phone comprises of sensitive screens - return, options, Home and search. The cell phone also has an 8MP camera on the top.

The Bottom: The bottom attaches the logo of its maker Intel which is surely going to make the holder proud.

While the look of the body is discussed above, following is an effort taken to list down the features of the cell phone which are as under:

1. 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor

2. 8MP camera with 1080p Full HD Video Recording

3. Android 2.3 Vanilla Gingerbread ICS update coming

4. 1.3MP front camera

5. Well build quality

6. 400MHz PowerVR SGX540 GPU with dual channel memory

7. Excellent Connectivity WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, NFC, HDMI out

While the mobile phones scores on major of the areas, it does have its negatives too. One of the places where the cell phone scores a negative point is the reaction the camera gives to the phone when placed on top of the flat table. Here, the user has to take care to place the cell phone properly to keep away from the camera getting placed. Leaving this, mobile is a classy smartphone with a neat finish and a fine grip. Launched in April, 2012, the product is priced around Rs 22,000 in India.
