Turns out its paying off in more ways than one. The extra dough has been helping me keep my character maintained nicely as I take serious advantage of this bonus xp time. I mean, how could you not try to maximize on an unending xp freebie? It just doesnt make sense not to.
And so Ive really been logging in the hours. I may have put in more hours on Aion this last week than I have at my job, and thats saying something. And the kinah makes it so that I can keep moving without constant stops to grind for cash.
Of course, there are dangers inherent with this behavior, so Im having to moderate myself just a little bit. I dont want to draw too much attention to myself right before the release. But even more importantly I dont want to draw any afterwards. There may be new security measures that come with the release that could put a crimp in what Im doing. Blizzard did it with WoW a while ago, so theres no reason to believe that NCSoft wont follow suit.
Another reason to buy aion account now is that prices are going to start to sky rocket over the next week and theyll only get worse after release day. Thats usually when things get ugly out there. Supply starts to dwindle, people get restless and worried about what theyre going to do, and you have to leave the safety of the Vault to find a new water chip. Next thing you know youre waste deep in radscorpions trying to scrape together enough bottle caps for some ammo.
Wait wrong game. Sorry. (But extra credit if you can tell me what game Im talking about!)
Seriously, though, prices are going to spike after the release. Its what they always do, and always will. Supplies will in fact start running low which means theyll start raising rates slowly to make sure they dont run out before the demand does. Its a dog eat dog economic game that theyre playing, and its better to get in before they release the pit bulls.
Just be safe about it. No sense losing your price character before the drop, after all.
