According to the latest survey approximately 28 per cent of the employees are using their personally owned devices at workplace for corporate use. And this percentage is expected to rise by 35 per cent by 2013 year. BYOD also gives the employees the option to work from home that is known as virtual work environments.

Special polices should be enforced that are acceptable to the employees as well as meet requirements for data security. The agreement should be signed form the employees while using their personally owned devices. The company should have some procedure to wipe the data as soon as the employee leaves the organization.
