REHACARE CANTON 2012 attracted 128 well-known local and international companies from 16 countries and regions which included Belgium, Canada, China HK, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, USA. Exhibitors of 282 booths showcased over 2,000 different products, technologies and related services, and met 6,198 professional visitors which came from 65 countries and regions.
REHACARE CANTON 2012 set new standards with significant increases in all key areas:
Currently, there are 83 million disabled and 176 million people of age over 60 in China. According to the statistics, there are 36 million disabled in need of rehabilitation services, as well as half of the aged above 60 require nursing care and aids.
There are about 800 local manufacturers specializing in producing related products in China. Over 1,000 enterprises are involved in dealing with these products directly or indirectly, less then 100 of them have an annual production value of over USD 10 million.
The total domestic trade value is about USD 19.3 billion in China, and over 90% of the premium products were imported from abroad which accounted for an annual value of USD 4 billion.
Estimates predict that the demand of the domestic market will reach 45.2 billion and it is supposed to grow continuously.
