If you fancy dancing the night away, then there are two or three clubs that stay open until four or 5am. The bars in Caleta tend to close about 2 or 3am based on the time of the year.
Caleta de Fuste (El Castillo) caters very well for youngsters, and you will find numerous activities including mini golf, tennis, archery, bowling, trampolining and various parks dotted about. The well known 'sand man' can also be found on the beach. Kids are able to have lessons, and learn from an expert the skill of sand sculptures. The water park 'Baku' is situated only thirty five minutes away in Corralejo and is an amazing day out!
The man-made, horse shoe shaped beach provides lot's of water sports and boat trips can be booked down at the harbour. There is also the infamous 'floating shop' where children, and even the adults can feed the fish!
A weekly market is held at the Montecastillo Centre on Chipmonk Mountain where many a great deal can be grabbed including leather handbags and copy designer watches.
A McDonalds, Burger King and large Bowling Alley can be found at the nearby Atlantico Centre which is located at the end of the beach walk. There is also a host of boutiques and clothes shops, bars and restaurants and a large, Spar, supermarket. To get around Caleta de Fuste, there's a hourly train that takes you around both the MonteCastillo area and downtown Caleta.
Car hire is not required to see Caleta de Fuste, but if you want to explore this stunning island then it is best to pre book your car hire prior to arrival. There are a number of places to see around the island of Fuerteventura and some beautiful, secluded beaches to be enjoyed.
Caleta de Fuste holiday accommodation is generally self-catering and 4/5 star hotels. There is an large quantity of privately owned holiday homes and apartments rentals also available. Cheaper flights have become available with Easyjet and Ryanair flying from numerous UK airports and Ireland. The weather in Fuerteventura can reach the mid 30's in the summer months and low 20's in the winter months and enjoys over 3000 hours of sunshine every year. A lovely island to visit, at anytime of the year.
