I still remember those days when we were known as fantastic five. As we all were recruited in a single day and on the same project we had good compatibility and understanding of each other. I being a fresher, the other four helped me understand the project well. Within months we were the top performing people in the project. Though no seniors liked their juniors to excel them, ours was different. Everyone enjoyed our progress and were happy seeing that we were performing well.
The group was diluted within a year as every one of us got some new job. The only one picnic we had together was at Panoramic resort Karnala, in Panvel near Mumbai. The trip was not sponsored we individually initiated the idea and went forward with it. It was then we decided to have the picnic at Panoramic resort Karnala, as one of us managed to get some discount. Someone had a contact with someone in Panoramic Universal Ltd. so managed to get some discount. As it was an office picnic we also invited our other colleagues for the picnic. In all, we were eight friends enjoying a good time at Panoramic resort Karnala. It was there, when I had some minor arguments with other four people. As the case goes, even though I was one of them I always maintained healthy relations outside that group. For the other four their very purpose of coming to office was to meet each other and stay within the group. There were constant attacks on them for these things, and I was silent coz I agreed the fact. The differences widened between and the other four, me on one side and one boy and two girls on other.
The picnic turned out to be last within the group and it was a sad moment we had at Panoramic resort then. Although we enjoyed the picnic individually, as a group we lost it. After the picnic, the clashes were frequent coz of difference in point of view. I just didnt approve any such changes in the policies which would hamper my performance. I was being termed selfish, as I think about myself. The only statement which I made was I come to work for money and not making friends. Thankfully, they are not with me right now and fortunately Im in a better place than I was then. I sincerely think had that picnic to Panoramic Universal Ltd. resort Karnala didnt happen I would have spoil my career with them.
