First of all, stop going into the kitchen. If you jump up every time there is a commercial on TV and run into the kitchen, that's got to stop. You should only spend time in there preparing healthy meals that won't add on pounds. When the commercials come on TV, do something else, like play some game on your iPhone or something. But don't go into the kitchen.

Get some smaller plates. If you fill up a large plate, you'll likely eat everything. But the truth is you don't really need very much in order to feel full. All you've got to do is eat a little slower. Use a smaller plate, but take the same amount of time to eat. Then you'll be eating less, and you won't feel hungry.

If drink juice or soda, stop. While juice has plenty of vitamins, it's also got plenty of sugar. Soda is nothing but sugar. If you just cut out soda and juice, you'll be amazed how many calories you save, and how much weight you can lose.

Drinking plenty of water, especially when you aren't thirsty, will help you to feel full. That way, you'll be less likely to eat during meal time. Just keep on drinking water throughout the day. Shoot for about two liters of water per day.

Sleep is very important. Lack of sleep is responsible for plenty of health problems, and one of them is obesity. When you are lacking in sleep, you tend to notice a decrease in will power, which means you'll be more tempted to eat those not so healthy foods. So get plenty of sleep, and you'll be fine.

You see, there are plenty of things you can do in your own home to lose weight. When you start using some of the tips in this article, you'll start losing plenty of weight before you know it.
