subject: A Fan Of Watches For Men [print this page]

Watches are the embodiment of class, style, man's ingenuity, and craftsmanship. They are things to be admired considering they weigh no more than a couple of ounces. I wear a watch every day without question and have found it to be a rare thing nowadays. Most people use their smartphones or other electronic devices to tell then what time of day it is but that is not something I like to do. I love my watch and to try to replace its inherent function with something else is mindboggling to me.

For me, wearing a watch add an extra layer of pizzazz to a wardrobe. If I am going out for dinner with a lady or just to have a good time with friends I want to look my very best. I dress to impress when I go out and that is when wearing a watch is most important. As an accessory, it is another thing that can help you stand out from the crowd. At its most basic being fashionable means standing out from everyone else around you. As a guy, I am competing with other guys and having a nice watch can mean the difference between catching the eyes of a potential lady or blending into the background and being ignored. No guy in the world wants the latter to happen.

Naturally the more often I wear my watch the more I risk nicking the metal band or glass or damaging it. Or worse, I may even risk breaking it. This is why every couple of months or so I take my timepiece to a professional watchmaker and have them disassemble it. While it may not be broken at the time I hand it over to be checked out, the watchmaker and can look around inside to make sure all the small parts are sound and are in perfect working order. Most of the time they will lubricate each and every single part, put it back together, and then give its surface a nice polish. Much like your favorite car, your watch should get a little TLC every now and then. And most likely, it is a lot more cheaper to do that than getting a car detailed.

Wearing a watch shows people that you have class and you are fashionable. And with so many watchmakers out there offering a myriad of unique and beautiful watches you are sure to find something that you will like.
