subject: Make Cash Out Of Your Mobile Phone [print this page]

Almost every month, we see phone companies releasing new phone models. We see new, shiny and sleek new phones, and we want them. We would easily trade our old phones for new once if we can. In every 18 months, people would tend to switch to newer phone models. That's why the number of unused phones in our homes are growing, what do we do with them? Just let them gather dust in the bottom of our drawers?

Want to earn few more cash? Here is a great tip in which you can get an amount of cash on something you don't use anymore. Recycle your mobile phones and exchange it for cash.

1. Donate your mobile phones. Most of us have at least 2-4 old mobile phones just lying around anywhere in the house. You can donate your mobile phones to charity if you don't want to put it in the rubbish bin. If your phones is still functional and still good with no damage, then it can still be swapped for money; and then exchanged for cash.

2. Go to sites that recycle mobile phones. Mobile phones have a specific price range when you decide to cash them. You can check the internet for online sites that will pay you an amount for each of your phones. Go to a site which recycles mobiles phones and then compare them to others, choose the best price. Read through the site's guidelines, the rules and regulations and FAQs while you are at it.

These companies will pick up the mobile phones, and then send you a check for the value of your old phone. These usually send it after 7 days after they have received and checked the mobile phones.

3. Put your phones on auction. If you want, you can auction your phones on Ebay. Make an E-bay account and then make an auction for your old phones, starting with the cheapest and best possible price. If you have a new phone model or a better model; then most likely people will bid a higher price. Remember to set your fixed price to the amount that was on the cash for mobile phone sites; doing either way is beneficial for you. If your phone is broke, then you can sell it as for "repairs and parts".

4. You can keep your old mobile as a spare; just in case your new one gets damaged or lost. You can just keep it with you as a backup phone. And also, you might just want to keep at least one of your old phones. One you can keep at work and the new one for your personal use.

5. There's no need to buy brand new phones for your children. Give them your old phone when you consider buying a new one. It's inexpensive, you just need to buy a new sim for your child. But remember, this is only good for the younger children. If it were teenagers, then your old phones will just be snubbed at - unless it's an iPhone, Blackberry or a really good smartphone.

You can still get money from your old mobile phones. Whenever you would want to buy a new phone, remember the old one cost you; so it's just great that you sell it or still make use of it. Don't just let your old phones rot in your drawers, take them out and trade them for cash.
