subject: How Would You Delete Keynote Files From An Ipad Or Iphone [print this page]

You would often require organizing and restructuring the files that exist on your iPad or iPhone. In this process you would like to get rid of unwanted files that lie dormant on your device. Especially when it is about the Keynote on your iOS device, or it is an iPad or an iPhone you have the option to delete the unnecessary files from both the devices. But remember that just by deleting the keynotes from one will not automatically remove it from the other device.

Why should you delete keynote files?

Deleting these keynote files is essential because even after deletion, these are still visible on the device. These files still remain on the device even after syncing the device to the PC and deleting the files. You will find it difficult to completely get rid of these unwanted files from your device. This creates unnecessary clutter and consumes space. You can also delete the keynote files from iTunes that have been moved to your PC and directly delete files from your iOS devices as well. Let us learn how it is done on the iPad2.

Let us first start removing keynotes from iTunes.

Copy keynotes in your iPad

Plug in your device to the PC

Go to apps

Scroll down to the File Sharing Menu

You will notice Add and Save buttons but no delete button

For deleting the specific entry you need to tap it first

Now press the Delete key from your keyboard

If you are using iPad then the option of Delete will appear

Tap on the Delete button to remove the entry

Press the Apply button to sync the device

This will remove it from iTunes. To remove it from your iPad or iPhone you need to perform the following steps:

Launch Keynote on your iPad/ iPhone

Go to the storage area for the documents

Tap the Edit button located on the top right corner

Choose the file that you wish to delete from the list of icons

Tap the Trash can icon located on the top left bar of the screen

This will delete the keynotes entry completely from your iPad or iPhone. Now you have a visibly organized menu and file display.

Here are some of the issues that you might face with an iPad or iPhone in general:

Arranging contacts

Organizing entries and files

Syncing the devices
