subject: Healthy Tips For Preventing Acne [print this page]

In my seemingly never ending quest for acne treatments that work as well as they say they will, I have learned quite a bit about acne in general. Everything from what foods to avoid and what foods to choose to how our pores get so dirty in the first place is now common knowledge to me. With so much information, I have finally been able to tackle my acne problem.

Everyone is aware that eating a greasy diet can cause acne outbreaks. For some people, however, dairy can also be a source of pimples. Everyone is affected in different ways by different foods. The trick to fixing your acne problems is to learn how your body works. Once you know what kinds of foods cause what kinds of reactions through your skin, you'll be better able to take care of yourself and prevent acne outbreaks.

I knew food could cause pimples, but I didn't know at first that there are foods you can eat to prevent pimples. I was super excited to hear about this because it makes sense to me that if my whole body is healthy, pimples won't occur. After all, acne of all sorts is a reaction to something. A body that is constantly having to react is not a healthy or resilient body.

I was pleased to find that green tea promotes skin health. Not only tasty, it has caffeine but isn't as bad for you as coffee or energy drinks. Make sure you check the ingredients on what you buy, though. You want to get the purest green tea possible to reap the most benefit.

It is well known that oily foods are no good for your skin or your overall health, but olive oil is an exception. When used in moderation and instead of other fatty ingredients, it can be quite good for you. In particular, olive oil has properties that help build the cells of your skin so radiance is achieved.

Food causes acne and pimples through digestion. The toxins your body reacts to come out through a nasty pimple outbreak. However, lots of pimples and blackheads are caused not by internal but external sources. There is plenty of dust and dirt that gets stuck to our face on a microscopic level that then causes outbreaks.

Our hands touch everything and therefore need to be washed often to stay clean. When we touch our faces, everything stuck to our hands sticks to our face. No wonder acne is so common!

There are lots of acne treatments that work, but improving your health is also important to combating this obnoxious plague. Avoid the classic acne causing foods, boost your intake of acne preventing foods and keep your hands off your face for cleaner, healthier skin.
