Prescription Details

If you receive your new glasses and there seems to be a bit of problem with the lenses, it might be your prescription. However, its not always as simple as 'the company made my presciption wrong!' Several things could be affecting your distorted or blurred vision... It could be that your prescription details were written down incorrectly when your eyes were checked in the first place. Or, perhaps the values somehow became skewed from your prescription itself into the production of your new glasses. Also, it could be an incorrect, or unmeasured pupillary distance (PD) number - your PD is an extremely important part of your glasses; it measures the distance between your pupils, which determines where the middle of your lens will go - or the frame doesnt fit you correctly, and is therefore affecting your actual vision!

Frame Fit

When wearing glasses daily, its extremely important to ensure they fit you properly. There is no need to be uncomfortable throughout your whole day when you simply dont need to be. Of course, the very best way to measure your new glasses is by physically trying them on. However, if you happen to be in a situation where youre not able to do so - like buying glasses online - try to compare your frame dimensions to an old pair of glasses. Youll usually be able to see your needed dimensions written on the inside arm of your existing frames; however, you also have the last resort of measuring them with a tape measure. From here, just try your best to match up the dimensions as close as possible. When purchasing your new pair of glasses be sure to take into consideration the difference of material, as this too can affect the way in which the frames fit your face!

Breakage

When purchasing new glasses, if there is any other reason that you feel they do not fit your standards, its important that you speak up. This is especially the case when / if something on them unexpectedly breaks. Before buying new glasses, always check the warranties and satisfaction guarantees that the company offers. Glasses are fragile; so you want some kind of assurance that even if they break, which things can do - especially fragile things, you will get some kind of compensation!

Whether youre purchasing glasses online or in your local optical shop, dont be shy when you receive your new eyeglasses! If the prescription is causes your vision to be blurred or distorted, dont waste any time! Take your glasses in and have the prescription lenses checked, have your prescription checked again, and have the frame size checked - compared to your faces needs. There could be several reasons that your new glasses arent working for you... Or, perhaps you simply dont like your new prescription eyeglasses? Again, you need to be sure that your glasses can be both utilized correctly, and liked by you - fitting in nicely with your own personal style. Dont be afraid to take care of yourself and your eyes and ensure youre getting the best possible prescription glasses! Good luck and happy shopping!
