Cover bands are commonly hired to play at cultural events like wedding and birthday parties. Cover bands take songs written by other bands and play them in similar fashion or put their own twist on the songs they cover. Cover bands may even impersonate the bands they cover with outfits makeup and style. Many L. A. cover bands choose to emulate bands from the area to appeal to their audience.

Some bands may cover a single song of another famous bands, but that does not make them one of the many cover bands out there. Cover bands select one well-known band and only cover and perform their music. Cover bands commonly hale from big towns where they have a large clientele. Seattle cover bands, Las Vegas cover bands and Los Angeles cover bands tend to do very well, especially if they choose popular tribute band like Queen or Journey.

Cover bands may not choose a specific tribute band to cover, but may instead select an entire decade of music or a type of music. A high school reunion might hire this type of cover band to play the style of music that was popular when the students were attending school. Cover bands may have frequent costume changes to reference the style of music.

Las Vegas cover bands are very common and perform all over the strip in hotel and for wedding. The songs they choose to cover have a wide range of styles. Cover bands and tribute bands can add special songs to their set list depending on circumstance like your wedding song or the birthday girl's favorite pop song.

Cover bands are great for decade parties or dance clubs having an 80s night or something similar. Professional cover bands can be hard to hire sometimes if they are well-known by the community and are in high demand. Cover bands that can play wedding music as well are also very popular.

You may ask why someone might want to go to cover bands instead of just seeing the real tribute band. some bands don't tour any longer and some may only tour in the UK and still some may not even be alive any more. Cover bands are also usually a lot cheaper than the real band to get concert tickets and they would still be able to hear their favorite music and songs performed live.

Another common trait of cover bands is to cover only specific types of music like Christmas music, the Blues, or hard rock. Cover bands may take original songs and play them in a new way, like putting int in a different style like rock or opera. People would still recognize the tune and lyrics but it would be fresh and cool.

The textbook cover bands on the other hand are going to impersonate the tribute band to the best of their abilities, even going so far as trying to look and sound exactly like the original band. They may even make their own music videos to make them more popular. Someone might hire them that really liked their tribute band in their prime.
