Yul Whitney is a caring man who came from a wonderful family with wholesome values. His parents instilled in him goodness, respect, care and integrity at a very young age. These values have stayed with him throughout his whole life. He knew that he wanted to work with people and children as a teen.

He entered college and studied psychology and sociology. He received a Bachelor's degree in both and went on to further his academic studies by enrolling in a Masters Programs in Guidance and Counseling, as well as Educational Administration. He had and still has a caring heart, and truly wants to make a difference for the better in school systems, rather than just to work for a paycheck and forget about the important things.

This man believes that everyone should have accountability for every task that they perform. His belief is that if they take pride in what they do, then the end result will be positive. Yul Whitney has held many different positions throughout multiple school districts including special education director, counselor, psychologist and superintendent. His great versatility and training have given him the upper edge in his career.

Special education children is Yul Whitneys passion. He believes that all children can achieve great things no matter what their intellect. As long as the children have a will to learn, support from school officials, and friends and family, Yul believes they can achieve any goal they set for themselves. During his career in education, he has watched other instructors and learned their methods. Building on his knowledge in teaching was essential to him in order to better his own career.

Currently, Yul is a psychologist with the Palo Verde Education District. He has been with this district for a little over a decade in more than one capacity. As a psychologist, he enjoys spending time with students and helping them with any problems they may need to discuss. The students know that his door is always open, and that they can discuss anything with him, whether it is a personal matter or something that is school related. He will also conference with parents if necessary, to see that each student's needs are met in order for them to have the best chance of success. Yul Whitney is a leader in getting changes implemented in his school district. He is also a leader against the fight in eliminating bullying.
