subject: How To Design Your Article Marketing Campaign [print this page]

When it comes to article marketing, it is important to put some thought into creating an article marketing campaign so that you can take advantage of search engine rankings as well as ensuring your readers get continuity between your articles and any pages you refer them to.

This article will show you how to setup an article marketing campaign properly to make sure you receive targeted traffic.

The first step in designing an article marketing campaign is to make a list of the topics you want to tell your readers about.

Now, take one topic off the list and find as many competitive keywords that are relevant to your topic. This is where you want to go for keywords that are relevant to your topic and have less than 20000 competitors in Google. Make a list of all of these keywords under each topic.

The next part of your article marketing campaign is to create a landing page on your website. This will be a page that will discuss the topic and you can also refer people to any product offers that are relevant on this page. I use this lading page technique for my affiliate marketing promotions.

The next step is to pick a keyword and write an article based on this keyword. It is important that the article you create is 100% original.

Now you want to optimise your article for your chosen keyword. This is fairly straightforward and can be done by ensuring you follow the rules below:

Include your keyword in the article title

Include your keyword in your article summary

Include the keyword in each paragraph of your article. You want to have a keyword density of between 1% and 2%.

Include your keyword in the resource box and make this keyword a hyperlink if you can.

Include your keyword in the keyword list.

There is a fine balance when you optimise your article, you don't want your article to appear like it is keyword spam, and it must make sense to your reader.

Once the article is written, use the resource box to tell your readers about your website and what they will learn by visiting your website. Then direct them to your landing page.
