Everyone loves to bargain. But in Mexico, keep two things in mind - Bargaining is great when the kiosks and the sellers are on the beach, away from the mainland. But if you are shopping in an actual store/shop in the city or town, please do not bargain. You should expect to pay the price you see.
One very interesting thing you will notice when you are walking along the beach or lying on the beach is that vendor will come and haggle with you to buy their goods. If you want to buy, great! If not, saying NO is perfectly fine. To drive home your point more emphatically, waggle your index finger - that's a sign you mean "no" when you say "no".
When one thinks of Mexico, one also thinks of the silver vendors on the street or on the beach. If you are planning to buy silver from them, make sure its of superior quality. See if "sterling" or .925 is written on it.
