Two acid cleaning systems used for quartz tube are popular in the wet process industry today. These are the vertical tube wash and the horizontal tube wash. I have listed below some of their features as well as their benefits for their specific uses.

This is an acid cleaning system for quartz tube. Acid is sprayed from an onboard reservoir. Two holding tanks are incorporated to the system - one for HF and one for nitric. Other alternative chemistries can also be used, depending upon the contaminants. The chemicals used can be metered in to a pre-mix reservoir incorporating a DI water mix. This blend is mixed and pumped to a spray manifold and recirculated through a filter for extended life.

Notable features:

Embedded software - the system features data logging and trending as well as multiple recipes and security levels.It also provides real-time tank levels, drain conditions, and pump status.

Concentration monitoring system - this is used to measure the chemistries and allows for spiking of the reservoir with one or both chemistries.

Programmable system - vertical tube wash can be programmed to allow a mixture of chemistries, incorporated to a 3-step process: light etch, rinse, and dry. Further, this cleaning system is designed to reduce chemical and water use as well as effluent costs.

Control panel - is designed to have an ergonomically located color touch screen and with a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI).

Horizontal tube wash - this is designed to cater large tubes and rods and usually comes with a magnetically coupling drive design, which is aimed to eliminate potential hazards from acid splash or leaking seals. This comes in a size that meets your needs and can either be a manual or fully automated system.
