Here we are going to discussing about the mathematical topic compound interest that helps the student to understand the concept of interest. Compound interest is an type of an interest amount that will be earned from already earned amount of interest. In the mathematical language we can say that compounded interest amount is a type of interest amounts that will be earned from initial borrowed amount plus interest amount of borrowed money. In the simple meaning, Compound interest generated only when the interest added to the borrowed amount. In the first calculation of interest amount, simple interest method and compound interest method looks same but second time second time both gets different. In second calculation of interest, we perform the calculation of the compound interest on the borrowed amount; this will gave the extra interest amount on the borrowed money. The addition of interest amount to the borrowed money is known as compound interest process.
Formula for simple = Principal * Rate * Time
In the above formula principal stands for borrowed amount, rate stands for what percent of interest will be charges on the borrowed amount, time stands for time period for borrowed amount.
Formula for compounded interest =Principal (1 + rate) time
In the compound interest calculation process the rate and time are varied according to the calculation of the interest. If the bank decided that they calculate the compound interest half yearly then in the compounded interest formula rate gets halfand time gets double.
