There are a large number of essential oils on the market today and there is an even larger number of ways to utilize them. Here are a few. We will publish more later on. One tip for good smelling towels, sheets, and clothes is to place a few drops of your favorite essential oil on a small cloth and toss into your clothes dryer. Add 5 drops essential oil to 1/4 cup fabric softener or water and place in the center cup of the washer. You can also use the regular perfume and cologne oils for this also.

You can add essential oil or perfume oil or even the potpourri oils that we sell to your potpourri to bring back the fragrance after it has sat and dried out. You dont have to wait for the oil to dry before you use the potpourri. It can be used immediately.

Add a few drops of oil to water in a spray bottle and use as an air freshener. Distilled water will be best but if you dont have it regular tap water is fine. Set the sprayer to mist and spray the mixture into the air to freshen your home.

Add a few drops essential oil to a pan of water and simmer on stove or in a potpourri pot. We also offer potpourri oils that you can use instead of potpourri. Many of my customers will also use scented fragrance oil when they want to use one of the designer fragrance aromas to freshen the air.

Put a drop or two of essential or any other type of scented oil in the hot wax of a burning candle for a wonderful fresh scent. You can also apply some of our fragrance oil to the wick of the candle to get a strong burst of fragrance. One trick is to apply the oil then blow out the candle. This really gives a burst of intense fragrance.

You can place a drop or two of your favorite essential oil or fragrance in a simmering pan to help eliminate cooking odors.

For tired aching muscles or arthritis aches, mix 1 part Deep Blue essential oil to 4 parts Fractionated Coconut Oil and use as massage oil. Peppermint oil will also work. You need to first dilute it by adding it to massage oil or any other type of carrier oil.

Whenever you are suffering from a mild headache you can ease the pain by rubbing a drop of Rosemary or Lavender oil onto the back of your neck.

Make your own custom blend by adding 3 to 5 drops of your favorite oil to one ounce of fractionated coconut oil. You can also use vitamin e oil, aloe vera, almond oil, or jojoba.

Add ten drops of your favorite essential or fragrance oil to a box of baking soda or cornstarch, let it sit for two days, then sprinkle it on your carpet. Allow it to sit for one hour and vacuum.

To make a natural flea collar, saturate a short piece of cord or soft rope with Melaleuca oil, roll up in a handkerchief and tie loosely around the animal's neck.

Freshen your shoes by adding a few drops of Geranium or Lemon essential oil. Tea tree oil and melaleuca are excellent to use to fight athletes foot.

Put a few drops of your favorite essential or fragrance oil on a cotton ball and place it in your vacuum cleaner bag. Lemon and Purify are nice. Geranium helps with pet odors.

To freshen your cabinets dab a few drops of your favorite scented oil on a cotton ball and place them inside of the cabinets.

Place several drops of Peppermint oil on a cotton ball and place at problem locations. when you need a mouse repellant.

Use scented cotton balls or an oil diffuser in your bathroom when you want to keep it fresh and clean.

One to two drops of Lavender or Melaleuca essential oil will promote healing of cuts and scrapes. Others which are good for this are vitamin e oil, aloe vera, coconut oil and jojoba.

You can use essential oils or other fragrance oils to freshen homemade soaps, unscented lotion, or to add more fragrance to perfumes, colognes, and splashes.

Blend essential oils with flowers and herbs for a more fragrant sachet. You can place these sachets in various places around your house or place them in simmering pots to freshen the air.

An old trick is to place a few drops of scented oil on a light bulb or inside of a light ring, This trick will fill the air with a pleasant fragrance.

Put a few drops of scented oil in your rinse water when you are rinsing hand washables.

Melaleuca oil has been used by fishermen for years. Use a drop or two on the fingertips before baiting up. Melaleuca covers up the human scent that scares the fish away. This is critical because fish will sense the smell of whatever you have touched on the bait and refuse to bite.

Make delicious homemade perfumes by adding twenty-five drops of your favorite essential oil to one ounce of perfume alcohol. Allow the mixture sit two weeks before using. Now you can just purchase fragrance oils outright and use them instead of the alcohol scented perfume. They will have a more natural fragrance and will last longer than the perfume.

Add Citronella oil to the hot wax of a candle or the hot coals of a grill in order to effectively repel mosquitoes. You can also burn the citronella in a potpourri burner.

Lemon oil is good for removing warts. Use a drop or two from time to time to halp dissolve warts that are on your skin. Apply it every day until the wart has completely dissolved. Fragrance Oil Express
