subject: Using Bundles To Sell Consoles: Batmans Xbox 360 Bundle [print this page]

Various consoles are often thrown into bundles with games and DVDs or Blu Rays. Everyone enjoys saving money from a purchase and through a bundle, the shopper often makes savings from buying in bulk. From the perspective of the business, less money is made that if the items were sold separately but it is clear to see that selling items in bundles encourages shoppers to buy more in one swoop.

For all the big Batman fans out there; Microsoft has released an Xbox 360 bundle that comes packed full of batman goodies! It comes with the latest Slim Xbox 360 with a Black Gloss finish with built-in Wi-Fi to give you easy access to the XBOX Live service where you can stream HD video, music services and thousands of XBOX Live arcade games. A 250GB Hard drive that means you have plenty of room for all your favourite photos, music, videos and games.

So what about the batman goodies? Well included in this great Xbox deal is: Batman Arkham City The latest in the batman franchise developed by Rocksteady Studios and was an award winning release from 2011. This is the sequel to Batman Arkham Asylum, which was released in 2009; it follows the imprisonment of Batman in Arkham City; a hectic and violent super prison with plenty of iconic landmarks from the popular Gotham city.

The Xbox 360 deal also includes the Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters game. A goofy game that provides a good local co-op laugh when played with friends. Released last year as well, we are not quite sure why this game has been included in the bundle; there are plenty of better Batman games that would have done the job in a better way, Batman Arkham Asylum for example would have been a much better option.

The Batman Xbox bundle also includes two DVDs, The Gotham Knight DVD and the Green Lantern DVD. While these two DVDs are not the greatest; they are entertaining and definitely sets off the bundle making it great value for money.

This bundle is just one of the many examples available to those looking to purchase a new console. However, when looking at bundles, it is important to make sure that you want the items involved and avoid getting carried away with the savings involved. A good saving is of no use if you dont really want what youre buying. A final piece of advice would be to shop around, bundles will change from place to place and it will help you to find one that suits you best.
