subject: Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Planning A Destination Wedding In The Bahamas [print this page]

First they werent getting married at all, then they were getting married in France, and now they are rumoured to be tying the knot in the Bahamas this summer.

It seems that Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie cannot reach a decision on the location of their nuptials as new media reports claim the couple want different types of destination weddings.

Angelina is said to want a private and intimate event just for family and Brad would like a huge celebration at their Chateau Miraval home in France.

They have appeared to have reached a compromise and the pair are rumoured to be getting married on a beach in the Bahamas; a place that is special for Angelina.

"The ceremony will take place in the same tropical setting where Angelina spread her beloved mom Marcheline's ashes," explained an insider. "She's convinced her mother's spirit will be with her on her big day, and Angelina is filled with joy just thinking about it."

Brad will also be getting his extravagant celebration because the couple are planning a private Bahamas wedding and then a huge party for family and friends at their $70 million chateau in France. The guest list is expected to include George Clooney, Matt Damon, Johnny Depp and Tom Cruise, as well as their partners and children.

The 35-room Chteau Miraval is located near the village of Correns in the Aix-en-Provence wine region and Pitt and Jolie have spent millions towards the refurbishment of the property.

The stars are also said to be bringing the date of their destination weddings forward from August to June so they can get married before Angelina starts filming her new film Maleficent in June.

Many celebrities are planning weddings abroad including Brads ex-wife, Jennifer Anniston who is reported to be planning exotic nuptials on the island of Crete in Greece this summer.

Beach weddings are a popular choice for many couples and while Bahamas weddings offer the perfect picturesque setting for ceremonies, other favourite global destinations for oceanfront vows include the Maldives, Hawaii, Sri Lanka, Cyprus, and Greece.

The number of couples who are getting married abroad is rising steadily as brides and grooms are tempted by all inclusive and tailor-made wedding packages; sunny tropical weather; smaller guest lists; and the chance to extend the occasion by combining it with a romantic honeymoon.
