Children love to play games - and why not because games are super fun and entertaining. Offer children a variety of different party games and printable party games to keep them from reaching the pits of boredom. Active games with a combination of sit down games makes for a great celebration.

Balloon Hunt: Balloon Hunt is played by placing several dozen balloons on the floor in an open party area. The object of the game is to collect as many balloons as possible in one minute. The balloons must be held by the players and cannot pop or they balloons do not count in the overall total balloons for the player. On go, players grab and stuff balloons in pants, shirts, and anywhere else they can. the party host will count all of the balloons that players are holding. The player with the most balloons is declared the winner.

Life Saver Stringing: Place Life Saver candies in a bowl, one bowl for each child. Cut pieces of string approx. 2 feet in length, one for each child. Tie one Life Saver to the end of the string securing one end. Have the string and bowl of Life Savers in front of each child, On go, each child has 30 seconds get as many Life Savers on the string as possible. The winning child will have the most Life Savers on their string. To make the game more challenging have each children wear a blindfold.

Name Six: Name Six is fun no matter how you play it. The object of the game is to name six things of the same category. In one variation, players sit in a circle and name as six things when a ball is tossed to the, A player who can't come up with six things in the category is eliminated from the game. A group version of this game is played by splitting the party guests into equal number of teams. Use a dry erase board if available. The party gives each group category. For example, if there are three teams one category for each team may include colors that do not start with B, planets, and European countries. One player writes a word on the board, runs back to their teammate who does the same. The winning group is the first to complete the category list.

Pencil Drop Relay: Players will need to drop a pencil into a milk container or other bottle or jar with a wide mouth to play Pencil Drop Relay. The players will be split into two teams and make a line. On go, one child runs up to the container places the pencil on his or her chin, and drop the pencil into the container opening. Once the pencil is dropped in the opening, the player then runs back and tags his or her teammate. The winning team will be the first to drop all of the pencils into the bottle.
