subject: Vocational Educations And Special Programs For Your Future [print this page]

Vocational education is important for all human beings across the world in every different country. Recently, though, vocational education in India has been on the rise. Vocational education, or vocational education and training also known as VET, is education that prepares students for certain jobs or careers of all different levels ranging from crafts to trades. Positions such as engineering, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and law are all part of vocational education and training. Craft vocations are usually trained to help people in manual jobs, mainly non-academic that are specific to a certain occupation.

Vocational programs specifically in India are provided on both full time and part time basis. Programs which are full time are usually held inside of industrial training institutes, more commonly referred to as I.T.I.s. As for part time programs, they are usually conducted inside state technical educations boards or in universities, where you may also find full time programs. Vocational training in India has mainly been inside industrial training institutes with a major focus being on engineering. There are a lot of different private schools which offer vocational training and programs, but they have not been fully accredited by the government, and are therefore not used often.

Dietician courses are popular courses taken by many people around the world. Becoming a dietician means that you are becoming a specialist. Dieticians do not just sit back and take orders from a doctor. They are experts in both nutrition and clinical matters and study peoples diets in order to find a good health plan that works for them. Dieticians know that studying each person is important since diet plans will differ from person to person, and they take that extremely seriously. To become a dietician, you must pass the Registered Dietician or RD exam every year, conducted by the Indian Dietetic Association, or IDA. You must then allow 6 months to intern a hospital that is accredited by the IDA. You must have nutritional knowledge, be able to relate to all types of people, be very patient, and be able to motivate and convince your clients to promote their new nutritional diet plans.

With a large amount of fast food consumption accompanied by a sedentary lifestyle leading to an obesity epidemic worldwide, it is no wonder why nutrition courses are becoming more and more popular amongst college students. Learning how to take care of your body and being able to offer help to those who are in need of a healthier lifestyle are both plusses to receiving your degree in nutrition. Hospitals, nursing homes, and government health centers all hire those with nutrition degrees to help plan diets for patients. Companies, factories, and certain sports organizations will also hire nutritionalist to help plan healthy menus for their cafeterias. Hotels, spas, and health clubs will also hire nutritionalist to help prepare healthy and wholesome menus for their guests.
