Baking can be one of the most enjoyable things that you do in your kitchen. Who can resist the mouth-watering smell of chocolate chip cookies baking? But if those baking supplies are not organized, it can take some of the joy away. Here are a few simple kitchen organizing techniques to help.

When it comes to baking supplies in the kitchen, good containers are a must. After all, no one wants to find out that their brown sugar is a brick after they have already mixed the other ingredients. To keep your brown sugar from becoming a brick, the best thing is to get an airtight container. Since I did this, my brown sugar is fresh and soft every time.

Having containers for the flour, regular sugar and powdered sugar is also helpful. Those bags they come in can rip or tear. It is also a lot easier to get those ingredients out of a container than out of the bag. Airtight containers are best but if those are not in your budget, a tall plastic or glass container works well too. One more kitchen organizing tip on this one: it is helpful to label the containers. It keeps you from using the powdered sugar when you should be using the flour.

One more tip about organizing baking supplies: it is easiest if you organize all of them in the same area. If you can, try to dedicate a cupboard to baking supplies. It is also easiest if you organize them by use. You will obviously use things like flour and sugar the most so they should be stored in the most easily accessible place.
