As unofficial Britain's Sweetheart', Cheryl Cole's every waking moment seems to be documented by the UK press. A further personality renowned and adored for her style is Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge is never out of the news, so characteristically her style is closely scrutinised by millions. As a member of the Royal Family, Kate isn't allowed to accept gifts since fashion designers, so any outfit she chooses and buys comes with her own personal stamp of approval. Although often lauded for championing high street brands such as Whistles and REISS, Kate's designer purchases have also catapulted fashion designers into the limelight. A particular favourite is the brand Issa, whose blue dress Kate wore for her engagement pictures which sold out within hours of the pictures going live. Kate continues to wear the brand, with pieces that feature within the press becoming instant sell-outs online and giving Issa a new and loyal fanbase. Kate recently made one student's dreams come true by selecting her shoe theme to be tradition made for her (read about it here), giving her an excellent start to her career.

As newly appointed BFC Young Style Ambassador, Alexa Chung absolutely knows whatever she's talking about when it comes to style. So when she champions a new designer, it won't be long before the rest of the planet sits up and takes notice. She even has a Mulberry bag named after her the ultimate accolade. Mary Katrantzou has been making waves on the British design landscape but Alexa Chung helped to elevate her worldwide status by wearing a dress by the Newgen winner to the Vogue Eyewear party within New York last year. Alexa also became a spokesperson for the British Designers Collective, the pop-up shop supporting new names like Jean-Pierre Braganza, Hermione de Paula and James Long.
