subject: Photography - The Best Way To Express [print this page]

Photographs both still or moving images can express ones thoughts in the best way without words and explanations. When asked to write my first article on photography courses and filmmaking courses, I was equally excited as well as apprehensive about what topic to choose. I really wanted to write upon something which was close to me and not on some random area of photography. My quest ended the minute I received my invitation letter for my Convocation Day. Being a law graduate and having spent five years as a student of law, I asked myself, why not write a piece touching photography and law.

Beyond the fascinating world of light, lens and landscapes, photography is not always a beautiful experience. Those passionate about outdoor photography, especially street photography (a type of photography were the candid moments of people or other subjects at public places such as parks, streets, beaches etc. are captured) would have encountered umpteen spoilers in the form of security guards, policemen and most often the local people. The moment they see someone with a camera around their neck, the interrogation starts. And by the time the session is done, the moment you were going to capture would be history. Embarrassed by the whole set of events, moving on to the next location is always the next option.

Photography courses, photography workshops, filmmaking courses, film making workshops and classes will enable you to learn the art of photography and film but the location, subject, etc for it is the choice and interest of every individual; its the freedom of every photographer and film maker. There are persons interested and specialized in various fields of photography such as wild life photography, nature and landscape photography, birds photography, travel photography, architectural photography, fashion photography, modeling photography, etc According to the interest in any of these fields, photographers and film makers select the locations to shoot. No two persons can have the same way of shooting even though they have to shoot the same subject at same location under same lighting conditions.
