subject: Why Mouse Glue Traps Are A Good Idea [print this page]

At first you had no idea why there were small holes randomly tucked away into the dark corners of your house. At first you thought that pieces of furniture had dug into the wall's paint and plaster and created a hole. You sighed but elected to ignore it for the time being as a minor nuisance. But sometime after you begun to notice some of the nearby food looked like it have been gnawed upon; you do not have pets in the house and your children sure do not eat like that. On closer inspection you find black particles near the food and the small holes found scattered throughout your home; they give off a foul odor and you slowly realize that mice have invaded your home. What should you do? For starters, get glue traps for mice.

Mice can pose a serious health risk to you and the rest of the people in your house. Their fecal matter can contain any number of microscopic bacteria that could be harmful to anyone who inhales it. A mouse infected with the Hanta virus, for example, can leave traces of it within their feces and fecal particles can be inhaled or in some cases swallowed if people are not careful. People have also been known to be allergic to mice feces. Placing mouse glue traps near holes or where mouse droppings can be found are a great way to get them ensnared in the trap.

Since mice are around filth and chew on any number of things the simple act of biting a piece of left-out food by a mouse can contaminate it. The aforementioned contaminated food has to then be thrown out in its entirety. Theoretically you could just lop off the piece of the food that was chewed by the mouse but why would you want to risk that? Just set a mouse glue trap and you rid of yourself the trouble.

Another problem posed by mice and other rodents are electrical fires. Mice will eat just about anything and the electrical wiring is no exception. If they are hungry they will find something to eat. As mice chew the protective rubber of the wires it will expose the wiring. They may even chew the wiring itself which can kill the mouse inside the walls where its body will decompose and create a nasty smell; this has its own hazards which you will be unable to clean.

Do yourself a favor and get glue traps for mice and set them up all over the house. Besides professional help these traps are the best way to fend them off.
