subject: Styling Head Scarves To Different Events [print this page]

You may wear a headscarf for a variety of reasons, whether religious or just by choice. And it becoming part of your every day attire might make you think it'll be a lot harder to wear for special events and the like, but that isn't true. The beauty of head scarves are that they can be incorporated in outfits to fit for every kind of outing.

For your typical day to day, you probably already stick to a more casual cotton head scarf or two. Here you've got the most options for what you want to wear because it really can be anything. From color to pattern, embellishment to length and how you tie it, your head scarf can be worn however you like it most.

When you are heading to work in an office, it all depends on the office dress code. You can get away with a lot of the same if it is casual, but if it's more a business suit office oriented look, then you'll want to stay with basic colors. Fabric isn't going to matter too much here, just make sure you don't wear anything too bright or distracting that might be commented on by higher ups. The same rules that apply to the rest of your outfit are going to apply here, so just think of those and you'll be set.

For a more fancy outing, whether a date night or a big corporate event, you always dress to impress. So you can do the same when thinking about the head scarf you will choose. You can bring out the silk head scarfs or ones with embellishments to stand out among the rest of the outfit you are wearing. Black has always been a most elegant color for any formal event, so it's a good default if you aren't sure what else to wear.

Don't forget that you can tie your scarf in a number of ways, so if you feel like you are tired with the way you do it normally for day to day use, change it up for the special event. See what you can come up with or check online for tips on how to tie it differently while still covering your head perfectly.

Head scarves can work for any occasion, as long as you know which one to wear to make it all work. This way you can feel comfortable but still know that you are dressed right, no matter where you are heading off to.
