This process involves removing of cylinder heads, connecting Rod and piston are stripped off, all these parts first gets cleaned and chemical dipped and even soda washed to remove, dust and grease particles from them and a process called Magnafluxing is carried out to look for even smallest holes or cracks in them, all the resurfacing and re machining is done to The cylinder head(s) is removed the connecting rod /piston assemblies are removed, the crankshaft is removed and all individual components are sent to their respective inspection centers and OEM specification criteria is implemented.
The engine block is stripped bare and sent for machining, cylinder bores are checked for roundness and machined if needed. In some cases the cylinder bores are machined and sleeves are inserted to bring the engine back to original standard sized bores. When all recon engines parts are rescaled to refined according to stringent standards then reassembly is carried out finally. Good quality oil seals, gasket sets and units are reassembled first keeping in view the OEM torque specification and details. After reassembling the recon engines goes to quality check and stress test lab where its working, noise, heating, throttle and robustness along with fuel efficiency is checked and fine tuned. All the Oil pressure and compression tests are done to make it safe and guaranteed for fitting in your vehicle.
