We are running out of fossil fuels and need another fuel - It is a well-known fact that if the fuels that we have used for the better part of the last hundred years our dwindling in supply. Industrialized world has been soaking them up at a very rapid pace. As countries become more and more westernized, their lust for natural gas and oil of all kinds grows commensurately. Combining that with the fact that we are finding anymore large oil reserves and we have a real problem on our hands. So, for the last 30 years or so we've been focused on getting another source of energy available. Unfortunately, that is been slow in coming and we don't really have good options other than renewable electricity sources at the moment.
The energy they provide is clean - The energy that comes out of large utility power plants is very dirty. It coats the skies and makes it difficult to even see in some places around the world. The energy that is created through renewable sources, like wind turbines, is very clean on the other hand. It does not cause air pollution at all except through the manufacturing of the device itself in which fossil fuels are still used.
They allow us to take back some of our independence - As it stands now we're beholden to Arab countries that now would like to see us go down the tubes. By integrating wind turbine resources into our fuel mix now we are allowing ourselves to become a bit independent of these Middle Eastern tyrannical dictatorships that tend to dominate the world economic scene. Being able to create our own energy domestically provides us with a huge opportunity to become independent of the sources that would see our demise as a notch on their belt.
In summary, wind turbines for the home are going to become even more popular in the upcoming years. Until we come up with a better way to make power we are going to be stuck with using renewable energy sources like wind turbines. That is not altogether bad though because it is so healthy for the climate in general and the air that we breathe, specifically. If we don't do something soon to make a decision to focus on one fuel source, like wind energy, it is going to be too late and our lifestyles are going to be threatened.
