subject: Put Together The Perfect Party Puzzle With Great Party Supplies And Party Favors [print this page]

Party supplies and exciting party favors are important components of a special party. Both, in addition, are a whole lot of fun. Yet some people do not recognize the differences that exist between these two pivotal parts of the party experience.

Party supplies add a great deal to any type of party and become a very important part of the party itself. They could include banners, tableware, centerpieces, signs, pennants, scene setters, etc. With the exception of common items such as gift bags and treat bags, most of these supplies will stay at the party site in the wake of the celebration. Party favors are awesome gifts for the guests to take home with them after the party. The type of party favors offered will vary greatly according to the nature of the occasion, and could take the form of treats or trinkets.

Chocolate candies, for example, rank among the most popular party favors handed out at virtually any type of festivity. Yet the way that these treats are prepared and presented vary greatly according to the party theme. Guests at a wedding reception, for example, might receive party favors that take the form of gourmet chocolate swans. Guests at a school party, by contrast, might get a garden variety (but definitely yummy) candy bar. Furthermore, the guests attending a Valentine's Day party may be excited to receive a special box of chocolate candies in a decorative Valentine's Day box.

Additionally, other treats that are given as party favors include such items as peppermints, cupcakes and cookies.

Trinkets given as party favors also vary considerably, and will be created and presented in accordance with the theme of each celebration. They could range from glass and ceramic items (a blown glass swan given at a bridal shower, for example, or a ceramic heart offered up at an anniversary festivity) to florals (real, silk, cloth, or paper) to faux gold coins (popular at pirate and St. Patrick's Day fests) to dolls (given most commonly at children's parties, but also sometimes at bridal and baby showers) to small stuffed animals.

On occasion, gift cards and certificates are also given as party favors, as are small bottles of wine and other liquorsbut only at adult parties, of course.

Party favors and party supplies are different but somewhat similar. They both succeed in making party guests very happy; and in adding an element of surprise and excitement to virtually any type of party.
