subject: Bring The Flavor Of The Hawaiian Islands Home By Having A Hawaiian Theme Party [print this page]

Regardless of the weather outside, with a little work bring climate of the Hawaiian Islands to the party. Create a fun Hawaiian theme party with plenty of Hawaiian party supplies and decorations.

Hawaiian Banners: Think about the island of Hawaii and bring those ideas to the construction paper to make the Hawaiian banners, even colorful tissue paper. For an easy Hawaiian theme banner, cut out Hawaiian leaves from construction paper and string together Punch holes in the sides of the leaves and string together once the holes are punched (use string or ribbon to connect the leaves). Decorate the leaves by cutting out separate sheets or paper or color on the leaves. Use a welcome greeting such as Aloha or Luau Bash! Use bright colors because the Hawaiian colors are filled with plenty of exotic colors from pinks to blues.

Hawaiian banners can also be made using silhouettes of tropical images such as flowers, luau dancers, and animals or various colors.

Connect leis and hang around the corners and ceiling of the party area as well. Use a variety of different colored leis and with various patterns such as a criss cross pattern or X's on the ceiling.

Party hosts can also make tissue paper flowers and secure to a piece of string to create a fun Hawaiian banner. This type of banner may be more time consuming but well worth the effort.

Hawaiian Scene Setters: Few locations in the world are as photogenic as Hawaiian. Create a tropical Hawaiian scene setter by using large sheets of paper or poster boards to create a backdrop that will make party guests jaws drop. In order to create the best scene setter possible use blue waters, skies, sands, and plenty of palm trees with mountains in the background (add exotic animals as well). Draw the scenery on the surface and color in. Young party guests who wish to contribute to the Hawaiian theme party can draw exotic creatures on the paper easily.

Hawaiian Party Table: Decorate the edges of the party table with a hula skirt table skirt. Use tropical flowers (faux) on the party table with scattered seashells, fake fish, and other fun Hawaiian theme objects. Offer guests a variety of plenty of fresh fruit and tropical drinks (non-alcoholic choices for children). Go for lounge chairs over table chairs for the guest to sit on.

Hawaiian theme party with Hawaiian party supplies and decorations is a fun way to celebrate a birthday or a just because party to fight off the winter blues. Suggest all guests wear Hawaiian shirts, coconut bars and other tropical items.
