subject: How To Play The Eat Turnbuckle Drinking Game [print this page]

Eat the turnbuckle drinking game is a fun game that involves a deck of cards, 2 dice and 4-8 players or even more. It can be played anywhere just as long you have these things in your possession. It is ideal for those people who want to get drunk quickly and have a blast while doing it. In the Eat the Turnbuckle Drinking Game the cards are assigned different values. The numbered cards are equal to the number shown on the card. The jacks are worth 11 and the Queens are equal to 12 while the kings and aces are cover cards. These cards are worth their face value in drinks e.g., jacks are worth eleven sips of the players drink. The game starts by all the cards being dealt out to each player. The cards are passed to all players evenly. The first player rolls the dice. The players then looks at all the cards in front of them to see if they have any cards that total the number shown on the two dice.

The player who has a card placed in front of them with the same value on the dice has to sip as many times as the number indicated on the card. If the player has two cards then they have to sip twice the value of the card. For example if they have two 5's placed in front of them, they have to take 10 sips of their drink. If a player has four cards of the same value they are to drink one and a halftimes the total. For instance if they are four 6's it will be(4*6*1.5) which is equal to 36 sips.

If a player has all queens placed in front of them and a twelve is rolled on the dice, that player must take 72 sips i.e. (4*12*1.5) which is what is called "eating the turnbuckle".

There is way to cancel out the numbered cards in front of you and this is through the use of the cover cards. The cover cards, that is, the king or an ace can cover the numbered card in front of you which may not be removed for the remainder of the game. For this reason a player must carefully choose the right card to cover seeing as you can't move a cover once it has been laid on a card.

A player however is required to take the required number of drinks the first time their value match those on the dice even if they cover it after. This cover card cancels out the numbered card in front of you and hence spares you from taking that many sips from your drink after the first time.

The eat the turnbuckle drinking game ends when no player is holding any more cards in their hands. The cards are then shuffled and dealt out again to the players. The players will take turns rolling the two dice throughout the games.
