Day 2: Pyramids Day Tour

Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then met by your personal guide who will accompany you in Private tour to the Great Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx, the necropolis of Sakkara and the former capital, Memphis. Your personal expert Egyptologist guide will pick you up at the morning from you hotel to start a sightseeinr day tour. The Giza Plateau is the beginning, it is around 30 minutes from Cairo where your Egyptologist guide will provide a detailed introduction to each of the three pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Menakaure. You will have free time to enter one of the pyramids (additional cost) or take a camel ride (additional cost). later you'll continue to the city side of Giza plateau where find yourself standing at the feet of the Sphinx, you may also visit the Solar Boat Museum (optional), home to the well preserved funerary boat of Cheops.Then drive to Sakkarawhere Egypt's oldest pyramid is built in 2650 B.C. you will get a brief history of the famous Step Pyramid and youll have free time to walk around. The final stop is the open air museum of Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt to see artifacts of several great rulers of Egypt the Huge statue of Ramses II, finally you will be transferred back to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo City Sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel then pick up up for private tour to immerse yourself further into Egypt's history to the famous Egyptian Museum. Follow this with a stroll through Khan el-Khalili bazaar and a visit to Cairo's most popular Islamic attractions - the Alabaster Mosque. Housing 165,000 Egyptian artifacts, the Egyptian Museum in Cairo attracts millions of visitors a year. The highlight for most are the priceless treasures of King Tutankhamun. His 6 gold gilded coffins dominate the main hall, while his magnificent death mask is the must-see item of the day. Our qualified tour guide will introduce you to the most important pieces before allowing you free time to explore the museum at leisure. The Alabaster Mosque at the Citadel of Salah el-Din sits atop a limestone hill overlooking Cairo and is the most important mosque in the city. Still used as a place of worship today by the Muslims of Cairo, the architectural masterpiece opens its doors to visitors of all faiths. The lower part of the Mosque is clad inside and out with Alabaster, while the top part is constructed from the limestone cladding removed from the Pyramids of Giza. Inside the mosque your guide will introduce you to the basics of the beliefs of Islam, including a translation of the most common prayers. Then proceed to visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, Citadel of Salah El Din and Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Head to Old Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, Abu Sirga Church and Synagogue. Back to your hotel and overnight in Cairo.

Day 4: Free Day in Cairo Or Optional tour to Alexandria

Today you have the choice of having a free day in Cairo or join our most valuable optional tour to the second capital of Egypt, One day trip from Cairo and 3 hours driving would make your visit to Egypt much different and more cheerful. We Pick you up at 7:30 am from your hotel in Cairo, drive about 3 hours to Alexandria with your personal Egyptologist guide. First visit Pompay's Pillar. It was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletain at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the temple of the Serapis , it was once a magnificent structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesareum. Proceeding to Qaitbay Citadel which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria then to Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Visit the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Finally you will drive back to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 5: Final departure

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International airport for departure.

If you have a problem with any of the Tour Services provided it should be brought to the immediate attention of our representative or the company directly whilst on the Tour. We will then attempt to rectify the situation immediately. Upon return it is almost impossible to correct a situation that could have been corrected during the Tour. Please note that if you choose for any reason not to participate in any part of the program once on the tour, there will be NO refund for these services, as they are prepaid based on the number participating.
