Being a medium is not for the feint hearted.
How do mediums do what they do?
It has to be a passion for the individual that chooses to do this type of work. This method of contacting the spirit of loved ones is not only personally challenging but also an intimate connection that you make with a total stranger.
My son used to say to me as a kid.
" Mum you talk to everyone you meet, why do you have to talk to dead people too?"
When he told his friends about his mother's job he used to say.
" Hmm my Mum talks to dead people all day, you know? You better not come to our house or the ghosts will get you".
It was a regular joke at the dinner table when he had friends over.
" Hey, Mum can you tune into my mates dead grand-dad for him?"
The poor unsuspecting kid would just about cough out his spag bol and run.
My husband would often ask.
" Have you met any floaters to day?" Floaters were the family name for spirit people.
My family grew up with all manner of spirit family members.
It was fun on occasions when we lost items and I would ask dear old Uncle Bill where the item was? It was great fun when we did eventually unearth the object too. It is a great pity that the spirits were not very good with Lotto numbers we could really have benefited from a big win.
But on to the topic itself. How do Mediums do what they do?
Over the years I have watched myself access this realm of information. Over the years I have pieced together what this is all about. I have come to this conclusion. There is an energy field that we are all connected to. It is beyond the physical realm. It is part of all that is. It unites all living matter in one big enormous pea soup. I call this energy field many names, the field, the source, the life force, the force, energy, vortex,god,life everlasting, eternity, mind field, spirit, heaven. It does not really matter what the name is. I just know that there is a power a force field greater than our little selves that connects everything in this universe together.
Science tries to identify it as an energetic quantum psychical thing, we talk about the big bang, we talk about before the big bang theory,we read about the string theory and black holes.We listen to Darwin's' theories, Stephen Hawkins books, Einstein's ideas and the other great thinkers of our modern age.
Non of these individuals have been able to prove anything that I want to take on board as a truth and then believe. My own understanding is the magic of life. The life force that runs through all living things is what I tune in to. It is a vibration that continues for ever and ever and ever.
Because I belief this. I am able to connect to this magical life force and listen to the vibration. I tune into it, then transpose the vibes into words, filled with emotion, feelings and knowings. I believe the brain is a sending and receiving station just like a radio station. All we have to do is tune into the wave length, get on the vibe and presto we are connected to all that is and was and is going to be. The past the present and the future all in one wave length.
I can not prove this but I am happy with my own understanding. I also have discovered that if you repeat an action over and over again with your thinking ability you almost drill into your brain a neurological pathway, just like a drinking straw. As you do this you are able to open up new pathways for ideas and information to come to you. I have practiced this method over and over again thousands of times and linked up with the wave length of spirit people so many times that I believe I can do it without a shadow of doubt.
Because I have information that validates this ability. I am then able to believe it 100% and there for I can. The power of belief is so powerful within all of us. I believe that the power of belief is the driving force that brings to us as individuals all that we desire. When we all have a better understanding of the mechanics of the human brain, I truly believe we will all be able to manifest all that we want in the blink of an eye. How many eons of years we are away from achieving this time will tell. In the meantime to continue.
My system of communicating with the spirit world is for me first physical as I tune in. Then it goes beyond a physical action into a knowing that I have access. The first few seconds is almost like skiing down a slope. You have to trust your skill and ability to get you there. Once the first few items of conversation have been identified with the clients as correct the rest of the connections are easy. I am in.
