subject: Strength Training To Do Out The Gym! (Part 4) [print this page] Here's some more ideas to do out of the gymHere's some more ideas to do out of the gym. Try these out for routines that will inject a bit of excitement and change to your workouts whilst enjoying a different environment to the same old gym.
Here's 2 more training ideas;-
Rope Climbing -
If you can get access to a rope this will lead to a killer upper body workout. I'm not going to sit here and explain how to climb a rope because i'm sure you know.
To make this a really complete intense workout try doing a climb up, then lower yourself down as quickly as your body will let you and then whilst your upper body is recovering try doing lower body exercises like squats or lunges. This will ensure you get a total body workout.
Jumping Exercises -
Jumping exercises like squat jumps, box jumps, lunge jumps and broad jumps are some of the best ways to bring in some explosive exercise into your routine.
The explosive nature of these exercises works your leg muscles in an entirely different way than most of them slow grinding strength training moves.
These would be perfect to do along with the rope exercises. During the rest period from the rope you could try these jumping exercises and get a really good workout!
Try out these moves for an intensive full body workout. The fact that your doing these exercises out of the gym I think it takes the boring aspect out and can really motivate you and kick start your workouts.
