The video clip suggests that the model will be shipped with a massive 4.6 inch screen. This will make it one of the largest mobile screens on the market with just the recently released HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy Note boasting bigger screens. In terms of resolution the phone is reported to offer a quality of 720 x 1184 pixels. This means that the new handset will be able to display a pixel density of around 320 pixels per inch which is very impressive for a screen of such a large size. In terms of design the model does look very similar to previous Galaxy handsets that have been released. The model sports a very angular design with some neatly curved corners. One thing that we noticed about the design was that the model number GT-I9300 was displayed on the rear. This is in line with previous Galaxy smartphones and helps us to think that this video actually shows a genuine images of the new phone.
In terms of processing power the Samsung Galaxy S3 will sport a new quad core chipset as we all expected. This chip is rumoured to be clocked at 1.4Ghz and accompanied by an impressive 1GB of RAM memory. This will ensure that the phone is well equipped to deal with any future software updates that may be introduced. In terms of storage capacity Tiehte reports that the phone will offer 16GB. The video also contains details on some other areas of this phone which have been featured less in many of the rumours doing the rounds. The model will sport a powerful 12 mega pixel camera capable of recording 1080P video footage. A massive 2050mAh battery will be fitted inside the model which will help the phone provide excellent performance times especially with such a large screen and powerful chipset included.
Only time will tell if the video we viewed contained genuine details about the new Samsung Galaxy S3. What we can say however is that we have viewed hundreds of rumours regarding this phone and this one certainly seems the most legitimate. The fact that we are only one week away from the official launch of the phone also makes us believe that is quite possible that the phone shown in the video may be the genuine article.
