subject: Princess And The Frog: A Beautiful happily Ever After Animation Movie! [print this page] I have become an animation movie fan pretty recently and have been watching quite a lot of movies of this genre for the last couple of months. I have been watching movies that I felt were apt for people my age and have been diligently avoiding Disney movies. So when I ran out of options, I saw the movie the princess and the frog popping up when I was browsing for more movies. I am not someone who believes in happily ever after and not a big fan of such movies. But the movie pricked my interest as the story is something that I have read when I was a kid.
So, I bought the movie through the dish TV offers that I have. The movie was released in the year 2009 and released under the genre of animate musical family film. The movie has been produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and has been inspired from the novel, the frog princess. The film has been directed by John Musker and Ron Clements of Aladdin and Little Mermaid fame. The film was initially titles, The Frog Princess which was later re-named as The Princess and the Frog. The film was nominated for the Best Animated Feature and for Best Original Song for the Academy Awards.
The movie has been set in the early 1900s. The story is about Tiana a young woman who is passionate about cooking. She works in two jobs simultaneously to open her dream restaurant in the future. Her friend Charlotte La Bouffe, a spoilt rich debutante asks her to provide refreshments for the huge ball that she is throwing. The ball is for the rich and to welcome Prince Naveen of Maldonia. Tiana is thrilled about the prospective as she would be able to buy the old sugar mill to renovate in to a restaurant that she has dreamt about.
The King who is supposedly considered rich is penniless and unskilled. He prefers to marry a wealthy woman rather than working for wages. They meet an encounter a voodoo doctor who transforms the prince in to a frog. He transforms the valet in to the prince by giving a voodoo charm. Facilier, the voodoo doctor demands Lawrence to marry Charlotte so that he can get access to her fathers charm. Meanwhike, the frog escapes and gets in to the mansion where the party is taking place. Mistaking Tiana to be a princess, he asks her to kiss him. In return, he promises to buy her the sugar mill. But, Tiana turns in to a frog when she kisses him. The adventures that both of them have is the rest of the story.
The rest of the story is whether Naveen and Tina live happily ever after as frogs or as humans and if Tiana gets to build her dream restaurant. The movie is a cut love story and unlike many other love stories, it is not completely about love. I loved the other characters like the crocodile who wishes to join a band, the voodoo priestess, etc. the background sound is amazing and I loved each and every song that comes in the movie. It is a beautiful musical and the two frogs that come as Naveen and Tiana are adorable.
Though the movie is a fairy tale, it is something that everybody can watch. I guess it might be the favorite movie of many girls and many might be idolizing the character Tiana. She makes a great impression with her hard work and aim to achieve something in life. I detest frogs, but after this movie I find them quite adorable!
