subject: Revenge doubt Review [print this page] The string of fabricated truths spun by Emily, Victoria and the rest of the Revenge characters will definitely leave you with a lot of doubts, not to mention questions. The much anticipated return of Revenge after a brief hiatus was really worth the wait.
Daniel Grayson is now in jail for the murder of Tyler and is not allowed to post bail. Since Charlotte and Declan cannot really give accurate description of the alleged hooded figure on the beach the night of the murder, Victoria decides to fabricate a story and pins Jack Porter to the murder, saying that Jack is the hooded figure.
To avoid Jack falling into Victorias evil plans, Emily through Nolan contacts Mason Treadwell and convinces him to report about Daniels murder case and construe a theory that will bring Jack off the hook. Despite the Graysons pinning the crime on him, Jack seems to be oblivious about it. To keep him safe, Nolan sends him out of town and convinces him to track down Amanda. Jack then locates Amanda in a bank in Montreal and Jack assumes that Amanda is retrieving the Graysons payment for her murder service.
Now back to Daniel in prison. With Victoria determined to bring her son out of jail, she comes up with a plan that will sway the court to release Daniel from prison and put him under house arrest. The plan? Victoria arranges and connives with someone from within the prison to brutally beat the crap out of Daniel, rendering him physically and psychologically unfit to stay behind bars. And so dear mommy Victoria is able to bring Daniel back home.
Meanwhile, out of fear for his brother, Declan sells out Charlotte and tells Mason that the painkillers Charlotte took on the night of the murder compromises the integrity of her statement about the hooded figure being present at the crime scene. Mason immediately prepares to blog about it, but before he can write his scoop, he receives a message from someone allegedly to be Amanda that Victoria is in possession of his interview tapes and are in the Graysons house.
So when Victoria tries to bribe Mason not to write about Charlotte and her meds, Mason counters with a threat that he will reveal every bit of detail in Victorias schemes if she tries to frame Amanda. Poor Victoria as her self-made web of lies starts to disintegrate.
As Victoria sulks in her failures, Emily disguises herself as a brunette and meets up with the man Victoria hired to arrange for Daniels beating inside the prison. Emily rewarded the guy by giving him his own beating.
Now that the hooded figureis no longer a viable defense for Daniel and Victoria cannot use Amanda anymore after Masons threat, Victoria comes up the ultimate proposition that casts probably the biggest doubt of all in Daniels head --- Emily could have been the perpetrator all along since it was her gun that killed Tyler. Will Daniels love outweigh his doubts about Emily? Find out on the next episode of Revenge.
