subject: Used Moving Boxes [print this page]

There are no shortage of used cardboard boxesThere are no shortage of used cardboard boxes. If a neighbor just recently moved into their home, then perhaps they would be willing to hand them over to you. More than likely, they will be happy to give them away for free, or sell them very cheaply to you. You can check out places online such as Craigslist, where people are either looking to sell their used boxes for a nominal fee, or for someone to take them off their hands.

A lot of us today own a lot of stuff, so quite a few moving boxes are needed each time someone moves. The problem is figuring out what to do with them once we are done unpacking. We may want to hold on to a few for storage, but we no longer have a need for most of them. Even if we wanted to keep all the boxes, there just isn't enough room in most cases to accommodate them.

It's because of this that so many used cardboard boxes are available. If you do a Google search for used moving boxes, you'll find that there is a lot of websites that offer them.

The best website to visit is usedcardboardboxes.com, where they sell both new and used boxes. The new ones are secondhand that were never used. This company gets their boxes from other businesses that no longer had a need for them anymore. Because some were never used or very lightly used, most are in excellent condition. Plus, they don't sell a box unless it meets their standard of quality.

Boxquest.com sells new moving boxes, but they also have listings for used ones as well. This works similar to Craigslist, where people in a certain area offer their boxes either for a fee or for free. You select the area you live in, then you get access to the listings. This is a good way to get cheap used boxes.

As mentioned, if you do a search for used moving boxes online, you'll find a number of stores that sell them.

Grocery stores and retail stores will likely have shipping boxes they can hand over to you free of charge. Keep in mind though that these boxes often have wear and tear. Also, you may not get the sizes your looking for. I would not go this route unless you know months in advance of your move. Finding all the boxes you need will likely be very time consuming.
