Before collecting all four crystals, the Circle had to overcome some bumps along the way. First, who is the real second Blackwell child and second, how they will outrun the voodoo creep Callum from stealing to a crystal owned by Jakes Granpa.
Lets deal with the Blackwells first. Probably the real shocker of the episode (though it may not be as shocking to some) is the revelation of the other Blackwell childs identity --- its Diana. While most viewers developed hunches that Melissa is Cassies half sister, Diana does give a better twist as the other Blackwell child. This of course disappoints Faye, who had been so convinced that she is the other Blackwell child, especially after discovering from her mothers diary that John Blackwell and her mom became involved in the past.
Now, lets move on to the voodoo creep, Callum. With the intention of making a fortune in the black market out of the witches blood, Callum tails Cassie, Faye and Jake on their way to Jakes Granpas house. When the Circle confronts Jakes Granpa, the old man reveals that he hid his crystal in a mine to safeguard it against black magic. Callum overhears the existence of the crystal and becomes interested to make bigger bucks. He snatches a map from the conspiracy wall, pinpointing the location of the mine. Good thing Cassie is able to take a photo of the map beforehand. So, in hope of reaching the mine before Callum, Cassie sends the map photo to Melissa and Adam.
Melissa and Adam reaches the mine first, gets the crystal but cannot get past Callums gun in their faces. Fearing for their safety, Melissa hands the crystal to Callum. But the rest of the Circle finally arrives to save the day. Faye, in her attempt to prove that she is indeed from black magic roots, tries to stop Callums escape but gets almost run over by Callums motorcycle. Cassie comes to her rescue and knocks Callum down. The rest of the Circle marks Callum and threatens to kill him if he ever shows up in Chance Harbor again.
Going back to John Blackwell, Cassie invites him over to their house so he and her grandmother, Jane, can talk. Jane agrees, but she actually has devised a bigger plan along with Charles --- kill John using a 16-year old cruet she has prepared exclusively for him. Before totally destroying John, Jane tries for the last time to make him admit the truth behind Amelias death. The crystal proves that John was never involved in the fire accident. This made Charles nervous since he is the one who killed Amelia. So when Jane decides to no longer kill John, Charles follows the original plan and activates the cruet to kill John. However, it turns out that John managed to switch the cruet with one intended for Jane, so when Charles dropped the match in the cruet, Jane is killed.
