Fresh air and starry skies in a combination of azure lake make this place one of the most visited in the country. It has glacier origin and lies on 217 meters above the sea level. Its depth is 590 meters what makes it one of the deepest lakes in the world.
It was opened in 1880 by Carlos Maria Mollano during his expedition to South America.
There are several ways how you can get to Lago Buenos Aires one of the best is of course by plane. There are several flights from the capital but the easiest way is to fly directly to Patagonia. It is important to mention that the lake territory almost doesnt have transportation so it is not easy to get there but totally worth trying. One more thing that you need to bear in mind is that if you take a car you should be aware that almost all signs are not written but drawn: if it is a windy place than you will see a babies-breath or if there are wild animals there will be a picture of it.
