subject: Mole Elimination Techniques That Are In Practice In Recent Times [print this page]

The sight of moles can sometimes be quite unpleasant. Moles become doubly annoying if they are located on the face, quite large, and of the raised variety. Often, anesthesia is administered on the area procedure for the mole removal is to be performed. Some numbing will occur courtesy of local anesthesia. With this, the procedure can be performed more easily.

Though there will be a slight pain after the surgery, you can still bear it. You can also try medicines that doctors will prescribe for the pain. No anesthetics are used when the procedure being performed is laser therapy. You will actually be able to sense the events happening in your surrounding area. Doctors will be speaking and you can hear it. You will be able to see the area being operated on really up close. You will be awake all throughout the operation. Participation in such procedures is quite a thrill and very exciting. The effectiveness of this procedure is much lauded when it comes to removing moles that are flat and close to the skin.

Laser therapy is also effective in removing moles that have been present since birth. Moles that you are sure have not undergone any changes in color, size or shape can be treated using the laser method. Moles that are embedded deeply on the skin can't be removed by this method. You will only be able to remove part of it if you insist on using laser therapy. You may just see the moles that have been removed reappearing on the same area. It is, basically, a waste of money and time, as well as energy.

In the laser treatment heat is used to seal your blood vessels. There will be a slight stinging feeling during the operation but it can be tolerated easily. This treatment won't cause a lot of bleeding. Other mole removal methods require some stitching and a long waiting time until it is fully healed. You won't have to deal with stitches when you choose laser treatment. The healing period of the wound will also be shorter.

Cryotherapy requires the use of cold temperature which, incidentally, can harm your skin. In the same way, laser therapy's heat treatment can also harm the skin cells. This is why the skin cells on the moles are the target of laser light. The area with normal skin cells around the mole will be unscathed. Compared to other natural treatments and mole removal creams, this treatment is more expensive; however, doctors still recommend it.

There are so many types of mole removal creams that are available in the market. Most are chemically tested and come with FDA approval. Allergic reactions to certain ingredients should warn you off these creams. When the moles are large or if they are deeply rooted, creams will not be of any use. They aren't powerful enough to reach the deeper layers of the skin where the mole cells are located. Thus creams are used for the shallow moles.
