subject: What Can You Talk About On A First Date? [print this page]

A first date is really important in your lifeA first date is really important in your life. If you have a first date coming in sometime then we are sure you have great amounts of nervous jitters in you. There is nothing wrong in that, girls. But don't be nervous to the extent that you end up making a fool of yourself at your first date or you stammer and stutter a lot. Apart from choosing the right dress, you also need to take care of what you should talk about on your first date.

The first important thing is that you should get to know him better. So you have to ask him questions about what he is interested in. Start with what his hobbies are. This can be the start of a great conversation. This is because it will also give you the chance to share your hobbies with him.

You could also ask him his favorite sport. Yes, you know most guys love sports and if you ask this question it is sure to make him excited. Guys love to talk about sports and if you come across as a girl who listens to them talking animatedly about their craze it will be a plus point for you. You could also talk about your and his favorite music, movies, food and the likes. This will help you to know each other better.

One interesting topic to talk about is your families. You should ask him about his family; who all are his family members; does he have siblings, cousins and such sort of questions. But don't get too personal if he seems to be uncomfortable while talking about his family. You never know, he might have had a not-so-good experience with his family.

You should also leave room for some humor. Share a few funny incidents that occurred in your life. Of course, this should only be if and when it relates to something you are currently talking about. The trick for a good date is to be funny, be sarcastic; but at the appropriate time.

You could also talk about your educational backgrounds. Get to know what did he study, which school he went to or what did he in major in and share the same about yourself too.

But keep this thing in mind that you should also give him room to ask questions to you too. Don't come across as a chatterbox and also learn to listen to him.

If you know what to talk about on your first date, you are well set for spending a great time.
