Tableware could include a beautiful cornucopia as a centerpiece, or (for a lighter festivity) perhaps even a paper mache turkey. Also lining the table could be pilgrim salt and pepper shakers, and perhaps tableware that comes emblazoned with Native American art. Again depending on the budget and spirit of this particular occasion, the table covering could be a plastic cover embossed with gold and amber images of fall leaves; or it could be a more classic tablecloth of ivory lace. Other decorations for a Thanksgiving celebration may include candles made to look like turkeys, indians or Pilgrims add a touch of Plymouth to the event. On a larger scale, a scene setter that shows the Mayflower at sea, or perhaps the very first Thanksgiving feast, would be perfect for this occasion.

At a particularly light hearted Thanksgiving celebration, guests could wear pilgrim hats at the meal; take home party favors could include chocolate turkeys, votive candles in the sweet scents of autumn, and nut mixes wrapped up in white or gold satchels.

Thanksgiving party invitations should be designed with the family in mind and be warm hearted and family oriented. An artistic rendering of the first Thanksgiving would be perfect for an invite that summons guests to an elegant soiree; for a children's party, by contrast, an animated turkey might suit the mood better.

If party invitations are not available for this special celebration then a small postcard or another type of card may be sent to spread the word about the party. Wording on the invitation could read something to the effect, "We would give thanks for your honored presence at our Thanksgiving festivity." A light hearted and fun approach to inviting guests to a Thanksgiving party may include having Thanksgiving party invitations with catchy phrases or sayings that encourage the guests to come to the party and have a great time.

Thanksgiving is a time when people of all ages come together for food, friendship and fun. Make this a Thanksgiving to remember by planning the ultimate party; one made even better with the addition of Thanksgiving Party Supplies and Thanksgiving Party Invitations.
