The typical feature of economic animals is that they are always lack of money. No matter how much they can earn, they will always suffer from the financial pressure as they never find that they have enough money to meet their endless desire for material possessions.
Topics for economic animals are rather limited either to make money or to spend money. Generally the topics go around stock, commercial houses, vehicle and other luxury expenditures. When they are at leisure, they like to read living lace anecdotes of the wealthy people, or about the third party. "Once in a while someone has mentioned the topics beyond such circle; others will stare at him--until the tone is again like an economic animal. After all there are some animals that are not completely economic animals in the world. They will spend some time on listening to concerts, visiting exhibitions, driving in the countryside to breathe fresh air, or getting together and mocking at other animals. However, when the office bell rings, they will immediately restore to their normal role. They know that to live in a market society whoever do not become economic animals will be regarded as improper. They believe that there has been an environment that everybody is focusing on making money.
Gradually, people will no longer care for subtle changes of seasons and no longer pay attention to items around them and they are too lazy to share ideas with each other, losing their ability to reflect on the inner world. It seems that many of the economic animals are suffering from "interest-free syndrome", only occasionally the smell of copper coins and the nostrils will make them flutter a little. Even accidents such as a president has quitted or a country is suffering from drought, even their neighbors possessions have been stoles, provided these have nothing to do with economic animals, they will show no interest to get involved. They even omit behaviors such as quarreling and fighting because there are a waste of time which can be employed to make money.
In the modern world, the real luxury for the common people is no longer the commodities or service of high price tag but the time and mood to relax and to communicate with their own spirit.
