The study found that in the past 15 years the number of countries reliant on minerals for more than 25% of their export revenues has increase by 33%. Furthermore, by 2010 around three-quarters of all 95 mineral-dependent countries were low- or middle-income countries. The study identified Botswana, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo as the top three non-fuel mineral-dependent countries.
