Shipping post in my postal car in summertime in Florida gets somewhat warm...can you spell H-A-D-E-S? The little fan that is installed in our pickup trucks doesn't provide much relief and has brief range so for years I've been buying the clip-on fans sold at Wally World only to have each and every one boast a fuse or break within a monthly or so. The specified fuses on these junkers are undoable to find and alternatives that were suggested at Radio Shack would blow almost appropriate away. But those fans were the only ones I could find locally so this year I decided to try something else and ordered this Tornado Fan and so far (about a month) I'm very happy with it. YES it is loud at high speed but the postal vehicle's built in fan is very loud as well so thats a wash as far as I'm worried. The diverse speed on the Tornado fan would mean you can change it to your liking and promptly turn it down to a relative whisper when you require to. There is a non-adjustable version of this fan but for a couple extra bucks in my opinion you get much more increasing with that variable speed. If you listen to the radio in your vehicle the noise may be too much but if you're just working and driving and singing your own tunes this fan will help you be more comfortable.

This fan is very profitable and capable, but makes a loud noises like a hair dryer or vacuum cleaner. I am a trucker so the sound doesn't bother me, but my close friends hate it.

This fan is very prominent with truck drivers who need to defrost their car windows in super icy conditions (turn heater on full blast, blow heat from dash/upper vents all over windshield, roll windows to regulate)

This fan has probably saved my life a couple times in Colorado for that, when the wipers ice up, you are screwed! Sometimes its so cold window wash doesn't help So this worked!

The pros:

works very effectively, has dial to turn down the sound at lower speeds

The cons: Motor is low cost, may require removing and lubricating motor over lifespan of product,

NOISE

shake

silicone mounting connection breaks eventually right before the fan gives out. (I make my own bracket then)

Keep kids fingers out of there, it will break them.

If you have no car AC, this will help you out for $20.
